Welcome to my sentimental little corner of the digital world, where there's magic in all the little things, and creativity & connection are at the heart of it all.

Tips for documenting your life - part 2!

We're back with more tips for documenting your life. Today's topic is about remembering to take photos in the first place... LOL. I know this one probably impacts a lot of parents, because you're juggling approximately 1 billion things at any given moment!

If you're wanting more photos of your day to day, but you're having a hard time remembering to do it in the first place, it's really a matter of building it in as a habit, and making it as easy as possible for you to do. Read on below to learn more!

Set a reminder. Start small.

If it's new for you, set a reminder for your phone, or even a smart watch if you have one. Give it a little camera emoji! Maybe you have an activity the next day that you know you want to capture. Set a reminder before, and a reminder in the middle of the activity as a cue.

But... this is important... start small! When that reminder goes off, don't panic and drop everything to huddle everyone together for a photo. Just snap what you see. Capture your life as it's unfolding before you! If you have a camera but forgot it, don't stress. Just whip out your phone!

When it doubt, keep it simple.

1. The Selfie

2. The Scene

3. The Small Stuff

*Pick just one to start! Whatever resonates with you.

Build the habit

Again, just pick one to start! It will help you to start building the habit. Once it becomes a little more muscle memory, you'll naturally start snapping more! When you get to the end of a year and you're ready to print out your photos into a cute album or holiday cards, you'll be SO happy you have so many to look back on.

Stay tuned for part 3 of this 3 part series: Mindset!
