Welcome to my sentimental little corner of the digital world, where there's magic in all the little things, and creativity & connection are at the heart of it all.

Tips for documenting your life: Mindset

We're back with our final part of this 3 part series on tips for documenting your life. Today's topic is all about mindset! It matters more than you think. Read on below to learn more!

Remember that it doesn't have to be shared to social media.

Sometimes this helps remove some of the pressure, and you don't miss out on a moment because it's not necessarily "insta-worthy." I want to encourage you to take photos for you and your loved ones first (and if you happen to want to share some to social media later, great!)

Let go of perfection.

At the end of the day, all that matters is that it's meaningful to you. It doesn't have to be perfectly composed or curated, unless that makes it fun for you. But if it doesn't, forget about it. Photos shouldn't be stressful!

Remember why you're doing it in the first place. You're capturing your life and loved ones in motion, your favorite traditions & memories you make together, so you can tell the story of your lives to future generations. They won't care if it's a certain aesthetic; they'll just be excited to learn more about where they come from.

Just have fun with it!

Yes, cameras can be a little more technical, but they're also a tool for art, expression, & play. Capture what you want! Styles will change constantly. That's part of the fun! ;)

Thanks for following along with this series! If you have your own tips for documenting your life, share them to your Instagram stories or posts, and tag me (@kelsey.noelle) so I can re-share! I love sharing tips with the community, so we can all create lots of memories :)
